A short course on Responsible Business from Northumbria University
1:30pm - 4:30pm | £0.00
NIBE is pleased to announce a new short course on Responsible Business from our partner Northumbria University:
Business Ethics is rarely out of the news and is rising in corporate agendas. Larry Fink, the CEO of the world-leading investment house, Blackrock, wrote in his 2018 letter to CEOs that:
“To prosper over time, every company must not only deliver financial performance, but also show how it makes a positive contribution to society. Companies must benefit all of their stakeholders, including shareholders, employees, customers, and the communities in which they operate.”
Northumbria University, ranked in the world’s top 50 for Business Ethics research, will be running six three-hour workshops on Friday afternoons from February to April 2019 exploring ‘What is Responsible Business?’ Taken from our MBA programme, but aimed at both practising professionals and anyone with a genuine interest in responsible business, the workshops will involve four themes:
- Sustainability and Responsibility in Business
- Corporate Social Responsibility
- Corporate Governance
- Character and Virtue in Business
The first workshop will be held on Friday 8th February on the fourth floor of our ‘Corporate and Executive’ suite in our award winning City Campus East building on New Bridge Street. The course is priced at £99 for all six workshops (£50 retired and other concessions)
Spaces are limited to 20 so please register your interest through the link below by January 31st. You can also contact Professor Ron Beadle at email@example.com for further information.
Please note timings are tbc, registration for this course is via the Northumbria University website.
